Acronyms Explained

A short list of acronyms commonly used in Singapore's financial services industry.

FC (Financial Consultant) - A title often used by both Financial Adviser Representatives (FAR) and Life Insurance (LI) agents. In this site, the term Financial Consultant and Financial Advisor will be used interchangeably.

FA (Financial Adviser) - It can be a person but typically it is a financial services firm which can partner with many financial product providers.

Not to be confused with the Life Insurance Agent. Although in essence, both the Life Insurance Agent and the Financial Adviser Representative are agents of their respective companies.

LI (Life Insurance) - Self-explanatory

MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table)
